Honored with a Doctorate

A lot has happened since I last posted.

I spent some time in England, primarily to look after some family needs, but also because — to my surprise and pleasure — Brunel University in London awarded me an honorary doctorate for the span of my career (so far) in STEM education.

It was a wonderful day, full of the pomp and pageantry you might expect from a venerable English institution. I got to meet particle physicists and educators on the faculty, and learn about the incredible work going on there. It’s inspired me to do even more in my chosen field.

And with such a wonderful burst of positive energy, there was only one thing to do the next day. I climbed up the side of London’s O2 arena to the top of the dome.
