An Unlikely Astronaut

I’m delighted to let you know that the next co-authored book of mine is now listed online… “An Unlikely Astronaut,” a children’s book with astronaut Susan Kilrain, with illustrations by wonderful space artist (and fellow Brit) Becky Hardy.
Susan’s story of not only working through all the career goals it took to pilot the shuttle, but also overcoming the “are girls allowed to do this?” doubts, is a wonderful one for both kids and adults. It’s a pleasure to work with her.
In less happy news, I was honored to be asked by Emily Carney and Dave Giles, who run the wonderful “Space And Things” podcast, to help eulogize Apollo 7 astronaut Walt Cunningham, who passed away recently.
